What kind of therapy do you practice?
I blend cognitive and somatic therapies to align your rational understanding of your emotions with the present experience of your body. My approach prioritizes creating a supportive environment for exploration and growth, tailored to each individual's unique experiences and needs. Additionally, I offer eco-therapy, leveraging nature immersion for deeper healing and connection.
How much does a session cost?
$150 per 60-minute individual session
$230 per 90-minute couple’s session
sliding scale- limited availability
Do you accept insurance?
I accept insurance for individual sessions- starting August 1st I will be in-network with Premera, most BlueCross/BlueShield, many LifeWise and Anthem plans. I do not accept insurance for couples, group and eco-therapy, but I do offer a sliding scale based on individual income.
Do you offer telehealth or in-person sessions?
I provide both telehealth and in-person sessions. My office is between Fremont and Ballard off of Leary Way, parking is available.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
The length of course for therapy varies from client to client, based on individual needs and goals. While I have some experience with shorter, goal-focused therapy, my specialty lies in long-term therapy aimed at forming deep, transformative relationships that support ongoing growth from past to future experiences and aspirations.
What happens during a therapy session and how often do they happen?
During a therapy session we mostly talk. We also stop talking sometimes to focus on breathing or the physical experience of existing in our bodies. We may use our imagination to explore emotions and describe experience through art or metaphor. Common cadences for sessions are twice a week, weekly and bi-weekly. Long-term clients often graduate to monthly sessions.
What is your experience?
I am a master’s level clinician (MA), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Assistant (LMHCA) MC#61436857 and I work under the supervision of Mark Goodman LH#00010410.
Prior to becoming a therapist I worked for several years as a retail manager at local pet food retailer Mud Bay, slowly growing internally to become a district manager. I still have a big passion for pets and small businesses.

LGBTQIA+
Disabled
Fat, midsize, beautiful at all sizes
I have experience working with clients who have a history of:
Anxiety or depression
Grief or loss
Suicidal ideation
Eating disorders

OCD and rumination
What is your cancellation policy?
24 hour notice for cancellations and rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hour notice will be subject to a fee equal to that of their normal session cost.
What if I am struggling to pay for therapy?
Please contact me. We can negotiate a payment plan, discuss placement in my sliding scale program or change appointment frequency. If working with me no longer becomes financially feasible, I am happy to provide you with a referral for services that are within your budget.
The Good Faith Estimate law requires healthcare providers to provide clients with an estimate of the expected costs of their medical services, including therapy, prior to treatment, to promote transparency and informed decision-making. I discuss this with all clients when agreeing upon the cost of treatment and in my client forms.
Can therapy help with medication management or do I need a psychiatrist?
I can provide therapy services and discuss how medication may complement therapy. I often do this with clients, especially while they are adjusting dosages and monitoring symptoms. However, I can't prescribe medication myself. I can refer you to a psychiatrist or medical professional for medication management if needed.
What is your privacy policy?
In Washington State, I am bound by strict privacy regulations outlined in HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and state laws. This means that all client information, including session content, personal details, and treatment records, must be kept confidential and only shared with authorized individuals or agencies as required by law or with the client's written consent.
